Pakleni Islands (Paklinski Islands)

Pakleni Islands, Hvar, Dalmatia, 21450

The Basics

The Pakleni Islands (also known as the Paklinski Islands) can be explored on a speedboat tour from Split or Trojir and an all-day excursion often includes a visit to Hvar Town, Brac Island, or the Blue Cave of Bisevo Island. For a more personalized experience, opt for a private or small-group sailing tour from Hvar, stopping at islands such as Vlaka, Sveti Klement, and Marinkovac, where you can swim and snorkel at hidden coves, or enjoy free time to relax at the beach resorts.

Private Half-Day Kayak Experience in Hvar and Pakleni Islands
Company provided equipment and great directions and tips on where to go. Staff was friendly and answered all questions and concerns about safety. For those that don't like guided tours and want to just explore, this is a wonderful option.

Small-Group Sea Kayaking Adventure from Hvar Island to the Pakleni Islands
It was my first time sea kayaking so I was nervous but our guide, Vese, was fantastic. We did a lot of kayaking and got a good overview of the islands and their history. It's a very strenuous sport and I'm surprised I made it back, but Vese was very patient and did a great job teaching us how to kayak. We did get to stop at a beautiful beach for about an hour to swim and eat (cash only). Overall it was an amazing experience and I'm so glad I went!

Blue Cave and Hvar 5 Islands full-day Speedboat Tour from Split
We love to travel and explore places as much as possible with our daughters so booking this trip was a must to see more of the Croatian islands! Our speedboat driver was Jure, and Domo was our guide. He was so great with our children, making sure they had the best experience! Thank you Domo, our girls loved it! And so did we! @family_travel_diaries (Instagram)

Small-Group Sea Kayaking Adventure from Hvar Island to the Pakleni Islands
Really enjoyed exploring the islands, with our very knowledgeable and patient guide. She gave lots of tips on kayaking technique before we set off which was great for beginners. Stopped off at a scenic beach part way through, which had a couple of good bars/restaurants to refuel!

Blue & Green Cave, Vis and Pakleni Islands speedboat tour from Hvar
This tour was fantastic start to finish, the guides were friendly and took us to beautiful places with time to swim in the clear water at each stop. They had bottles of water and beer on the boat and gave us good advice on where we could go for lunch. The islands were stunning and the tour was a great way to see a lot of different places in one day!

Blue cave and Hvar Town - 5 islands tour
We had a lovely day and the crew of 2 were extremely helpful It is a 5 stop tour so don't think you have time to hang about as it's approx 1 hour per stop which is never enough but required when visiting so many places

When to Get There

The most popular time to visit the Pakleni Islands is during the summer months and boats can fill up quickly in July and August, so be sure to book ahead. It’s possible to visit in the winter months, although ferries and tours are less frequent and may be dependent on the weather.
