We flew with Alfred Salazar, who I am convinced, can land any balloon on the head of a pin. He is an expert balloonist. My friend and I had the best time. We felt extremely safe, especially since we had to rebook our flight because the pilots weren't happy with the winds on our original date. The whole process is fascinating - watching the pilots release helium-filled balloons to see what the winds are doing at different altitudes, seeing the ground crew lay out this enormous balloon, fill it with air and then heat it up. The views of Albuquerque and the surrounding mountains are fabulous and the ride itself is gentle yet exciting. We had constant smiles on our faces. I am so glad my friend convinced me to take this ride. It is definitely one of the highlights of my trip to New Mexico and I will never forget it.

Rainbow Riders was amazing!!!! Brad was our pilot and awesome! The only downfall was actually with my Viator purchase. I purchased private ride and it registered with the company as group flight. But Rainbow Riders worked out the kinks. So if you're purchasing via Viator, please confirm all details with the company prior to day of excursions. ~The Wilkersons

This always an amazing adventure for my wife and I to celebrate her birthday. Don Edwards and his knowledge and outstanding personality (even though he’s from North Carolina ha ha) made it worth it. When in Albuquerque, it’s a must with check out Rainbow Ryders and Don for your hot air balloon experience.

The ride was different and exciting. Discovered new aspects about ballooning I never would know had I not taken this ride. People on the ground waved and brought their children to watch us. We even spotted remote control balloons being operated in a small park we floated over. To hit our target landing spot, we had to float just a few hundred feet over a subdivision and a busy automobile artery. Several cars honked their horns as they passed under us, others acted as if we were not even there.

1st doing a Ballon trip. Thought we were going over river but never did. Did not travel very far. Could see our take off site the entire time and only saw a neighborhood from the air. Anthony was very knowledgeable and a fun pilot.

Scott had so much experience and made us feel so at ease! He was knowledgeable about the area and was so much fun! This business is run like a well-oiled machine and we enjoyed getting to watch the process—I highly recommend this. This was a surprise for my 13-year-old daughter and we both loved it! The nerves I had went away in the first few minutes and it was such a unique way to see the city.
