-During the booking, please choose Pickup Location and then select the radio button saying "Please pick me up at" and choose "I don't see my pickup location" from the drop-down then type the hotel name on the box underneath so that we can easily locate your hotel pickup. -We would like to make it comfortable for you so we will pick you up at your hotel or at the nearest point available in our routes. -We will confirm the time and exact meeting point by the message option of your booking. -The guides will be dressed in red t-shirts with the Xcaret logo on the back for easy identification. -The guides will say the tour name out loud.   -Present your photo ID upon boarding the bus. -If by the time you purchase the ticket you do not have the hotel yet, you must contact the Customer Service Viator staff at least 24 hours prior to the visit to the park to help you to coordinate the pickup with us.  -You must be 10 minutes early at the assigned location.
Following evening pickup at select hotels in central Cancun, take a short ride to Xoximilco. This attraction is a replica of the ancient Aztec city of the same name, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in central Mexico that basted a network of canals and floating gardens.

Climb aboard your trajinera, a traditional flat-bottomed boat once used for carrying produce from the Aztec city's floating gardens. Cruise down the network of canals, enjoying the festive atmosphere and learning the legends of Mexico from your guide. Traditional canoes, called chalupas, will approach your boat bearing mariachi and marimba players. Dine on a traditional Mexican tasting menu accompanied by tequila, beer and soft drinks. After your festive evening, enjoy drop-off at your hotel.

  • For pick up arrangement you must call to confirm your reservation at least 24 hrs before your visit day. Some pickup services could be earlier 7:00 pm especially if the hotels are located far away from Xoximilco Park.
  • According to the indication issued by the Government of Quintana Roo, Mexico, we are forced to suspend activities at 11:00 pm. So the park will be opening from 19:00 to 23:00 hr. Tours and days of operation are subject to availability and changes.
  • Pickup: The hour and place will be informed when the visitor confirms the hotel. Please be ready and waiting in your hotel or meeting place established 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time. Drop-off: The visitor must be ready for the departure at 10:40 pm because the bus will leave at 10:50 pm.
  • The pickup operates from different hotels in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and the Riviera Maya so it is necessary to contact us to know the exact time and place of your pickup.

On our reservation it said they would pick us up at 7pm. When I called to see what was going on, they said they had showed up at 620pm I was not aware of that time and I never received a notice. I had to pay 60 dollars for a taxi so I won’t loose our attraction.

It was a very unique experience. It was full of color, music, dance and fun vibes with some great food and drinks. It was well organized from the pickup, to the tour guide instructing you to take a picture of the receipt when you purchase the photo package since its easy to lose it, photographers available at key locations. They also accommodated my dietary restrictions and provided me with impressive delicious options for the dinner.

Very disappointed with Viator. Our ticket clearly said that the departure time was 7:00 pm but they came to pick us up at 5:30 pm and we were at beach. We were not able to use the attraction transportation and had to pay a taxi $60 dollars to take us ro Xochimilco. We were not only ones left behind. Another couple had the same issue with Viator. Please fix your pick up time. I should at least be refunded for the transportation.

This was great fun. The food is really the least of the experience. The main tasting course was not warm. I enjoyed the fish and the chicken mole the best. The dessert tasting course was a selection of Mexican candies. What is really great is the music. The boat has many stops where you get to listen to the fantastic, authentic music while you are seated or dancing - your choice. The two staff members on board encouraged an extremely hedonistic ending to the evening, which some people laughingly participated in and others said, Oh my God, and looked away. I looked away. My 91 year old dad laughed. Its definitely a party night. The grounds are beautiful but you cant see much at night. I would like to go back during the day and enjoy the lush, tropical landscapes. I cant tell you how many staff people it takes to put on such a production of food and entertainment, 100? 200? More? Our transportation arrived on schedule. We had over half an hour at the site to taste some authentic cuisine, play games, go through the gift shop, etc., before we were called to our boat at 8 pm. The got off the boat for the last time at 11:30 p.m. Our transportation departed at 12 a.m. and we were the first stop, so all that was very easy. I have been waiting to see and hear authentic Mexican music and this was a great evening for music.

My husband and I had a great time so I do recommend the Xoximilco Cruise. Make sure when paying for the cruise that the transportation is picking you up near where you are staying. We paid 20 each for transportation however had to pay for 60 30 min. drive for transportation to get to the paid shuttle. When I made the reservation with Viator I entered the address where I was staying and if I would have been informed I would have saved my 40 60 and hired a shuttle from my Condo straight to the Cruise. This information was not given to me by Viator. It was a little scary to have to find a shuttle at midnight. Denise

My wife and I were both very happy in taking the Xoximilco cruise tour and highly recommend. We loved the music, food, and entertainment. This tour definitely depends on who you have on your boat and what level of energy you have that night. Be sure you're well rested and come there ready to dance and have fun! I wasn't a big fan of how they push you into purchasing all or none of the pictures. We will remember the experience forever!
