Fine, but not fantastic

On the whole it was a pretty good trip, roughly matching the description. Lovely stop in Victoria at the citadel, only problem was, we were only given an hour to look around so it all felt quite rushed. Tour mentions being given a guided tour on Gozo, we weren’t. Driver was silent the whole time. Confirmation email said 10:30 pick up at the ferry. We emailed to check after a previous bad experience and it turns out the pick up was at 9:30 and the boat left at 10. We’d have missed it if we’d have gone with the info we were sent. Blue lagoon was very beautiful and the trip was fine, but I’m sure you can find a better, more organised experience if you look around

It is okay trip

In general, it is okay the experience. The boat take you first to gozo after almost 2 hours. Then to whom has a tour there is a bus taking you to two destinations Dwejra Bay and Citadel . In each place you have around 45-50 min to walk around. I do think it is way too short to discover gozo hidden gems or anything. Then you get back to the boat to get to blue lagoon which is very very touristic. Due to the stormy weather, the scene is less magnificent than expected. If you have any plan to get a chair remember to negotiate, we get it for like 8e two person for an hour and later we heard they even sell it 5e for two person in two hours. I would definitely recommend just to take the ferry round trip to gozo and stay there longer to discover the island then maybe from there take th small boat to comino( not necessaril imo) . Gozo has way more things to offer. The tour would not be recommended in this case. Too much hustle in a way even though the boat trip was quite chill with some fun choices of music on board. However, it can get very crowded with no covid safety. No one wear mask properly btw. But thanks for the offer.

Dear Trang_P, Thanks for your review. The boat ride from Sliema to Gozo takes 1hr 20 minutes and this includes a visit to St Marija caves in Comino. Please note that this excursion is a combined tour of a bit of sightseeing in Gozo and get a taste of this island and swimming in Comino s Blue Lagoon. You cannot expect to see the entire island of Gozo in 3hrs, to see the whole island, hidden gems and all attractions you need a week. During the bus ride on Gozo, we have taken you to the places mentioned on our website and brochure and allowed free time for you to visit these places. We hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Malta. Kind Regards Luzzu Cruises Team

Wonderful experience

Really great experience with this team. Very kind and nice staff on the boat. Started from the Ferry Sliema, took us first to the Gozo island and bus driver met us at Gozo port and drove till the Victoria bus station, where we had an hour to walk around. Beautiful Citadel to visit. After Victoria, we went to Azure Window. (You can take a small boat trip which coast you 4€ on top to see the caves) we had an hour free to spend. If you don't take a boat. It's nothing to do. 👎 After we took a boat to the Blue lagoon. Beeeautiful place to visit and to swim. Not many fishes thought. Plenty of drinks and food. We had 1h30 over there and after we were back to the departure place. On the boat you can buy drinks and food as well.

The tour is okay, not great

The Gozo trip was a bit hurried (we only had time to see the Citadella in Victoria and the Grotto in Dwerja). The Lagoon is Comino was worth spending the hour. It felt like we were travelling (in bus, ferry) more than we were sightseeing.

Sweet and sour

The cruise service was very good. The problems came when we were left in Gozo. We were supposed to visit Gozo in a bus with audio guides in different languages. The bus was going to make stops so we could take photos. Instead, there was no guides. The driver just stopped at one place and told us we had some time to visit the city, without no explanations. Then, we went to the blue grotto, and there the experience was better, as we could take the boat to see it (paying 4 euros per person). The other part of the trip was very cool and everything was okey, as we sent some time in the blue lagoon. In conclusion, the part of the visit to Gozo is cool, but they should explain better what you’re going to do in the information of the cruise, as they’re not offering what they say.

The boat ride was great,...

The boat ride was great, the captain pointed out various fixtures, gave a little story about things, etc. However, the van ride on Gozo was simply a ride, not a guided tour. No stories, no history, nada. Diaapointing.

Dear Michael, Thanks for your review. Glad that you have enjoyed the boat trip. In Gozo we sub contract a bus company and we will inform them accordingly to improve their service. Hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Malta. Kind Regards Luzzu Cruises Team

I don't recommend

Waste of time, with some useless visit, where we have nothing to do or where we don't have enough time to visit. Too expensive for this cruise (activity and organisation) and this boat.

Malta Trip Summer 2021

One of my favorite days of my trip for sure, we got to see so many things on one day without feeling too overwhelmed; there were plenty of rest breaks built in with the boat transport and the bus on Gozo itself. Gorgeous views and super timely service as well.

Blue lagoon and the caves were the best experience. The time at Victoria was not enough to see anything. Not even citadella. The personnel was very kind and helpful all the time.
