Just Perfect

Based on the reviews I was a little skeptical of this tour, but please ignore those reviews. Yes our bus was 10 minutes late for pick-up but that was only because another passenger was at the wrong pick-up location, so bear in mind there are different pick-up points. Other than that, I have only good things to say. Our guide Federico was very attentive, provided drinks and snacks, and was very well informed! He made sure to tell us everything we needed to know about safety and about the sites, views and history we were experiencing. Considering there were only 6 of us on the boat, it was very comfortable. We were given the chance to swim twice, stopped in Amalfi and Positano, then headed back to Sorrento. All & all, it was an amazing tour and well worth the price.

Had the best time in amalfi!

We had the best time on this trip..it was our first tour that started my trip off and it has been a major highlight . Finding the bus/van was fairly easy and then we took a bus down to sorrento to get on the boat. The process was pretty organized and we got on our boat. We had lucked out and has amazing weather . We got Raphael and Jovy for our boat and I cant say enough nice things about them. We learned so much on the tour and it was amazing to feel the wind in my face on the boat. Learned a lot of good info and I got swim for a little bit. It was very beautiful and I cant wait to go back. Enjoyed some wine and i was even given gluten-free snacks which was great being celiac. I had mentioned this beforehand and I was able to partake so this made my day . We had free time in amalfi and positano which was really cool. Had some food there and enjoyed the lovely views. Also, I really liked the music on the boat. We ended the tour with a limoncello show. So tasty! :) jovy was awesome! Super kind and answered all our questions. No complaints at all on this trip . Would strongly recommend to everyone to take and hope you get jovy and Raphael!!

DO THIS TOUR!!!

WOW! that is all you can say! Everything about this tour was fantastic! The pick up was prompt and arrival to port went smoothly! We did stop at several locations in route to Sorrento to pick up more people which was kind of annoying but went well except for the first pick up were we waiting for about 15 minutes on the side of the road waiting and we had no clue what was going on because the driver didn't speak English. But again this was minor! Once in Sorrento we sign in at the port and then are divided up to our boats. The boat was in great condition and just lovely. Had a large front area you would lay out on and a back area if you wanted shade. There was 9 of us on the boat. The captain, Federico, was AMAZING!! HE took care of all our needs. He told us a lot about what we were sailing by and that really enhanced our experience! There was beer and wine available whenever we wanted along with some snacks! We stopped at a beautiful look island cove area to swim and snorkel. Then we went to Amalfi Town and had about 1.5-2 hours there to explore and have some lunch on our own. Then we sailed to Positano where we had about an hour to explore. We walked up to the top to see the view and then got some Gelato. It was just amazing all around! Thank you Federico for making it such a lovely day!!

Well organized. Just the perfect amount of time in Positano and Amalfi. The boat ride was fun. Only snorkeled for 20min. Most people on the boat didn't want to swim but they missed out. The water was wonderful.

Best way to see the Amalfi Coast!!

This group was so easy to work with and accommodating. We were on a cruise ship, so our schedule was tight. They went out of their way creating the best possible itinerary for us to maximize our time. They picked our group of 12 up in a very nice van and delivered us right to the port where Captain Freddy was there to greet us. He made the day perfect for us. We wanted to swim a bit, so he found a couple perfect spots. He was so flexible and cheerful. Whatever we wanted to do, he accommodated us. He said he loves happy people, and it makes his job great. You could tell he loved his job. The Amali coast is amazing by boat. You will see the cliffs and the beautiful colorful buildings sculpted into the mountains. It is an amazing site and a trip of a lifetime for our group. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour! Just book it. You will have no regrets.

Best Way to Tour the Amalfi Coast in the Summer
Laura B
, Sep 2019
*Please note this tour does not go to Capri as some other reviewers stated. That is a separate tour. We wanted for our family to have the opportunity to see the Amalfi coast while we were in Naples. We boarded a modern Mercedes bus from our meeting point in Naples and rode to Sorrento. Once we arrived in Sorrento, guides walked us to their office to sign in and then we waited for our group number to be called. Our guide escorted our small group to the boat dock, where we boarded Tony's sleek wooden boat. Donatella was our tour guide. She was very informative, friendly, and attentive during our trip. We drove by some key sites and then our first stop was in Amalfi. We had about an hour there, which was just enough time to grab a bite to eat and then walk to the top of the church steps. From Amalfi, we rode the boat to Positano. While in Positano, we had an hour and a half where we wandered the town to view the sites and accomplished some power shopping. Once we all were back on board the boat, they found a spot to stop and drop anchor. Everyone had the opportunity to swim and/or snorkel for about 30 minutes before we finished our trip home. My only complaint was there wasn't a hose or any way to rinse off after swimming. Also, once we returned to Sorrento, they did not have clean and accessible shower facilities or changing rooms. So, we did not have the chance to change and feel clean before our long drive back to Naples.

Once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We had a blast on this trip. The transportation and boat boarding process was very smooth. We had the perfect size group and our skipper was so friendly and provided a lot of insights on the areas we visited. The highlight was swimming off the boat with floating flamingo drink holders! Great value for money!

Beautiful boat ride - poor bus transport

We were told to arrive at the Hotel Star Terminus by 8:30am. We arrived at 8:28am and there were several other groups going on other trips there, but nobody from You Know! Naples is a busy city. We were beginning to wonder. Finally the young man arrived at around 8:50am and then we didn't leave until closer to 9:15 or 9:20am. You've got to do a better job of arriving on time. If there is traffic, leave earlier! He had access to a microphone where he could have talked to us along the way, but he appeared to be on his phone most of the time (maybe he was coordinating all the extra stops we had to make - if this is the case, maybe you have somebody else come along on the bus to talk with the group on the long bus ride to talk about different places, history, culture, etc.) We boarded the mini bus and ended up picking up several other people along (or maybe not) the path. All of this set us back an hour or more. We didn't get out on the water until 11:30am. This only allowed us 15 min. to swim off the boat (this was amazing!! the water was so blue and clear!), an hour in Positano and and an hour and thirty minutes in Amalfi. The boat crew offered drinks (water and alcoholic beverages) and were great! We arrived back to the bus at around 6:30pm and back to Napoli a little after 8pm. It would have been nice to know that we would be in the bus so long. You don't leave from Naples. You leave from Sorrento, so the bus ride is long. Better communication and more promptness was expected.

Giuliana was Amazing

I had an amazing time on this tour. You definitly get your money's worth. I went alone but had a very very nice group of people to talk to and get to know. I enjoyed the captain and the amazingly cute tour guide. We were out on the boat for the beginning of the sunset and swam in front of beautiful Positano. FYI bring a towel and LOTS of sunscreen. They had a nice covered portion of the boat and an awesome front for sunbathing. I was stung by a jellyfish but they knew exactly what to do and made me feel comfortable. I am so glad I toured Amalfi by boat rather than by bus!
