Departure Point: Gunstock Ranch Trails Office Directions: Gunstock Ranch is located 2 miles North of the Polynesian Cultural Center, between the towns of Laie and Kahuku, Oahu. We are a 10-minute drive from Turtle Bay Resort

This activity will end right where it started.
  • Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • CHECK-IN TIME: Check in is 45 minutes prior to the start time of tour. A safety demo is given 15 minutes prior to the tour, if you miss the safety demo you will have missed your tour
  • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
  • Minimum age is 7 years
  • All passenger weights must be advised at time of booking. 240lb/109kg weight limit
  • Long pants and covered shoes are recommended; bring a light jacket if the weather is cold
  • We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
  • Stroller accessible
  • Near public transportation
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Phones or small cameras are allowed.
  • No pregnant or intoxicated riders will be allowed to ride.

It was fun *enough* IF horses are really your thing. The guides were really nice. My horse kept trying to pass the other horses so I had to pull on the reigns A LOT. My sister’s horse did not want to go at all. My mom’s horse tried to bite her. It required more work on our end - in my opinion. Also, I’ve been around horses a lot but these guys were especially dirty. I don’t know, it might be someone else’s thing but just not ours.

This was our first time riding a horse. Gunstock ranch is not as popular as some of the other more crowded ranches. However, it was very authentic and we had a great time. The ranch owners and guides love their job and their ranch and provided us with awesome experience. Hanna who was our main guide ensured our safety while giving us the tour of the ranch and explaining everything. Incredible views, a bit of adventure and thrill sums up our experience!

It was my first time horse riding but I didn’t have any problems my boyfriend and I decided to go and I’m glad we did, staff was really nice and the trail ride was great, loved the name of my horse, Dora. I wanted to take her home. Dora was always hungry and wanted to run around the parking lot at end with me still onboard. LOL. Great, Friendly staff you won’t regret going.

The staff is great! Our guide Makenna was awesome! You can tell from the start that it is a well run establishment. They are attentive to the patrons and their horses.The ride was perfect for a family activity ❤ We would recomend this ranch to anyone who is considering a horseback experience.

I had a minor issue with finding the ranch at first but it was cool after that. Several men and women ran the operation and were easy to deal with. I was new to riding a horse but there instruction was real helpful. Alex led our small team along the route. I think she did an excellent job even when the horses acted up a little bit. The only mild criticism was it got difficult to hear all her stories when the horses were spread out. I would go back for sure and be thrilled to ride with Alex.

Best experience ever we did a great amount of excursions on our trip but the one I have to say I enjoyed the most was the horseback riding I am definitely in love with riding horses and I haven’t done it since I was a teenager and this was definitely a great experience to have back and especially in a great amazing place with a great customer service environment I highly recommend for anyone’s next trip to Oahu to visit there ranch and have a very enjoyable ride through the mountains to see you ocean from above on a really amazing creature.
