What a memorable experience! Valeria was one of the best guides I have have had, and I travel quite a bit. She was knowledgeable, passionate about her city, and a simply a delightful human. By the tour’s end she accomplished her mission- we all got a glimpse of the vibe of Palermo and it’s current struggles and triumphs.

Our tour guide was very knowledgable and informative and open to answering all questions. Saw parts of Palermo that wouldn’t have passed / known the history of on our own. But beware the tour TOOK FOUR HOURS. Plan accordingly because I was not aware. Would benefit from having a more structured plan as it felt like a lot of rambling at points.

Hello, We are really sorry that the tour lasted so long: although we know there could be so many thing to share, time is very important for a good experience, and travellers have their own plans that we need to respect. Thank you for sharing!

The guide was very informative. But too much standing and her talking. Repeating the same stuff over and over again. Not moving fast enough from place to place. 3 hours is way to long . Should be 2 hours. For the most part boring. Sorry!

Tour guide was informed, passionate, and spoke excellent English. Group of 6 people a good size! Palace of Justice was powerful historical experience.

Stefan gave us an interesting journey into the history of the Sicilian Mafia and how citizens are uniting to stand up to them.
Experienced guide, good compact tour through Palermo’s history of the mafia and the fight against it.

Linda is a friendly and experienced guide. The tour was educative and compact to get a good overview about the topic (mafia’s influence on the city and the society and the fight of the citizens’ against it). We enjoyed the information, the pace of the tour and Linda as guide. We would recommend the tour to visitors who are the first time in Palermo.
Do it!

Informative and Thorough
, Jul 2021
Very informative tour and we learned a lot, however a little slow paced (aka 30 mins talking per stop).
Glacial paced walking tour
, Feb 2020
Probably because it was out of peak season but the tour was painfully slow paced as the guide had to do the Italian tour and English tour in one. After sticking with it for an hour and 40 minutes and only just getting to the 2nd stop I eventually gave up and left and got on with my day!Guide was ok if a little dry.

thanks, your feedback is very important to us. We're glad you enjoyed the tour.
Yes! No Mafia makes a solid case for community action against criminal activity ... the tour was very enlightening.
, Oct 2019
Yes! It was a great tour. It went beyond the movie versions of the Mafia and told the stories from a Sicilians perspective. The “No mafia” movement began with a small committed group who stood up to the fear of criminal activity ... and the community began to protest the criminal activities, when the socio-political events of the day strengthen the anti-mafia effort.

After this tour you will have a much clearer view of the mafia and the recent developments to stop these practices in Palermo. The guide was very knowledgeable. However, I experienced the 3 hours as quite long as there are no visits included to e.g. the Palace of Justice.

We took this tour a few weeks ago. Before the tour began our guide checked in everyone. I had booked and paid for the tour on line weeks before. She insisted I give her my ss number or passport number. I said no and she wasn't too happy. The tour itself was interesting but too long (3 hours)
