Antonino is Incredibly knowledgeable , considerate, and friendly. The sights speak for themselves. Hiking to the crater rim is a little challenging but well worth it.
Fantastic experience

Grazie a voi! A.E. A drive into the blue.
Must do tour! Fabio was an excellent driver and the guides at the sights were also good

We were three couples traveling together staying at a villa in Amalfi. We wanted to go to Herculaneum, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius but didn't want to drive ourselves and we wanted tour guides at the archaeological sites. This tour was perfect! We were picked up on time and drove to the sights in a spotless, comfortable Mercedes van by our excellent driver Fabio. He negotiated the very curvy and narrow roads safely while giving us information about the area. Our first tour was of Herculaneum by our very knowledgeable tour guide Hector. We saw the entire site and he provided us with a wealth of information but it was not overwhelming. He was great! We next visited Pompeii which was very crowded. Our tour guide was Daniele. We didn't see as much of Pompeii as it is very large but we were told a lot about it. We did a lot of walking but unlike our time at Herculaneum, we didn't feel that we saw all that we could. I think you'd need a lot more time to really experience Pompeii as you should and we were limited to two hours. We plan to go back. Next, Fabio took us to a winery where we had a tasting lunch. It was great and they took good care of us and got us in and out quickly so we could make it to Mt Vesuvius in enough time to climb to the top (you drive most of the way). It takes about an hour to climb to the top, look around and take pictures and then walk back down. It's a steep climb but we made it! Then we asked Fabio for a recommendation of a restaurant and he took us to one in Ravello at a hotel (I believe it was the Ravello View Hotel) and the food was very good. They arranged for a taxi to take us back to our villa in Amalfi after dinner. This tour was perfect for what we wanted to do. The communication with the tour company was also very good. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed every minute of this tour. Can’t recommend this enough if you are looking to properly see Herculaneum and Pompei. Our driver Massimo was excellent and was happy to accommodate our requests - we chose to go to a winery for lunch and this was easily accounted for. Fantastic experience, must do!!
WOW! Such an amazing time!

Tony picked us up early and gave us interesting information about Naples as we drove through traffic and on the way to Herculaneum. He was just plain amazing all day long and made the tour exceptional. I highly recommend getting the guide. She was so interesting and knew everything you could think to ask about, as well as knowing exactly what portions of the locations to take you to so that you can make the most of the time spent there instead of wandering around on your own. We also loved going to Herculaneum first because it was so much less busy than Pompeii. We enjoyed spending more time there and just hitting the highlights of Pompeii. Tony was amazing yet again during the trip up to Mt. Vesuvius, telling us more interesting facts about the volcano and then getting us close to the top for the easier amount of walking. I couldn't recommend him enough. He made this one of the best days of our two week trip. This is for sure one of the best tours I've taken on Viator.
Well worth it!

I was so glad that I booked this tour. We took the train from Rome to Naples to make this as a day trip. Our driver was prompt and excellent. He picked us right up from the train station. He was super friendly and answered any question that we had about the tour or just Naples in general. He drove us to Vesuvius first because it was going to be a super hot day. I am glad he did because climbing Vesuvius is a grueling climb and there is no other way to get to the top. He then took us to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Both times he dropped us off near the entrance and was waiting when we got done. Even though we were tired from the first two trips, I am glad we chose to go to Herculaneum. It was way more intact than Pompeii, and had the actual skeletons of the people (at least 100) at the bottom of the hill near the water. Definitely choose this package if you want to do all three! (Perhaps you do want to the guide for Pompeii though. It is the size of a city, and you can get lost at what you are looking at).
Well worth the time and money!

ANTONIN,O is a gem! His passion for Naples history and culture is clearly evident in the day long tour. His English is excellent(unlike some other tours we took)He welcomed us with cold water and cookies into any immaculate vehicle.. He is quite accommodating and flexible if you want to depart from the planned itinerary. We had a injured foot so he altered the day to take that into account and we wished we had him for all our other tours! He took the personal attention to take us to a recommended pizza place and helped navigate the crowds etc before driving us back to our hotel with our pizzas. The man could not do enough to please us and share his city!! The tour guide for H. and P. was good and altho we did not walk the mountain(foot) the guided tour of Naples by car was a bonus.Take this tour and ask for Antonino!
This was an incredible once in a lifetime tour!

This tour was the most we have ever spent on an excursion but we would encourage everyone who can splurge to do it! From the moment we were picked up promptly in an airconditioned beautiful vehicle from the port by Tony our driver for the day, to being dropped off back at the port, everything went as clock work. Our guide in Herculaneum was Carlo, who has been doing tours for 65 years. He was funny, full of knowledge and easy to understand. The time went by so fast and he was entertaining also. When we got back in the van and Tony had beautiful fresh apricots and cherries for us. Josephine was our guide in Pompeii and she was again full of knowledge, easy to understand, answered our questions and moved us thru the crowds with ease. When we finished Toni took us to a beautiful restaurant for a fabulous lunch. Josephine had the servers bring us a lovely appetizer which was delightful and so kind of her. Tony remembered it was my sisters birthday and had the wait staff bring cake and prosecco to celebrate, which he paid for. After lunch Tony continued to drive us around and showed us many incredible views including driving up to a half way point of Mt Vesuvius, as we were all too hot and tired to climb. we then continued to enjoy the rest of the day in Naples, and were taken directly to the port on time. Thank you for a tour to remember. Just do it and you will not be disappointed at all.

Sara was an amazing guide and Antonino was super helpful driving us to all the things we wanted to see. He even provided drinks and sandwiches. The hike to Mount Vesuvius was more challenging than we expected but Pompeii and Herculaneum were outstanding. Sara was really helpful showing us the highlights and explaining things we wouldn't have known otherwise. Highly recommend this tour!

Started off badly. Our driver, Antonino, was 30 minutes late and started out telling us that we could only visit two of the three sites we had paid for due to time concerns. He wanted us to agree to spend a lengthy time at a lunch location he recommended rather than go to all three sites. When we insisted that we take the tour as advertised and as we paid for he somewhat reluctantly agreed. Our guide Anna joined us at the first site and was excellent. After explaining the situation to her she and Antonio discussed and we had no further issues. Although it was a long day it was very possible to visit all three sites and Pompeii was outstanding, Herculaneum was very interesting as was Mt. Vesuvius.

Dear customer, We apologize for any imperfections in the service provided. With regard to the delay, please note that sometimes the city traffic prevents anyone from respecting the times set and that the driver had also called the reception of the hotel to advise of the delay. As for the pressure made in order to induce you to skip the visit of Mount Vesuvius to be led instead to a restaurant, we are really sorry, as this behavior is very far from our service policy. Please consider the possibility that there may have been a misunderstanding. Is it possible that the driver has expressed himself in an English not perfectly understandable? In any case, we apologize again and hope that apart from the imperfections mentioned above, the rest of the tour was to your complete satisfaction. Best regards. Antonino E (not the same person as the driver) A drive into the blue.
