We really enjoyed learning how to make apple strudel, it was so interesting. Learning a different technique. Our instructor was very personable which was great. It turned out delicious.

Johan was an excellent teacher, and we are so excited to try making the apple strudel and Salzburg nockerl on our own. Lunch was an aromatic soup that we enjoyed.

This class ranks as one of the highlights of our 2 week European trip. It took place inside a mountain and was charming. Our instructor was excellent and took us through the making of streusel and knockerl step by step. We can’t wait to try out the recipes on our own when we return home. Lunch was a tasty goulash that we also want to make when we return. All questions were answered patiently and a friendly atmosphere was established between the 2 other couples in our class. If we ever return to Salzburg, we would never hesitate to sign up for a different cooking class from the Edelweiss cooking school.

Enjoyed the food, of course. The chefs’ were so nice and helpful. The recipes were easy to understand with just enough cooking steps to learn something new. We loved the location of the kitchen. We have done a moderate amount of travel in the past and we are so happy we took a cooking class!

My boyfriend and I booked this class at the last minute and were glad we did! Johann was very patient and made us both feel very comfortable (and competent!). The location of the class is very unique and it added to the experience for us. We are hoping to impress our families with our new baking skills! I highly recommend the class. Make sure you go hungry, there is a lot of food to eat! Thank you Johann!

This was an exceptional class! With lower tourist numbers, we had the class to ourselves and it was fantastic! Our instructor (also an opera singer!) was very kind and really knew what she was doing. She explained every step so that we'd understand what we were doing and why/how. It was instructive without being overbearing, and resulted in delicious deserts! We would certainly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn a bit more of the local food history, or just those wanting to see how these delicious deserts are made.

We had an amazing time cooking up nockerl and strudel! The recipe was very easy to follow and a lot of fun sprinkling sugar and flour together. The beautiful kitchen is cut INTO the mountain for a wholesome Salzburg experience. Do this class!
