We‘ve enjoyed a wonderful evening. Our host Katia was very experienced and teached us about the different food, pasta and regions of italy. She was fun to talk to and answered all our questions. We found we got good insights and improved our pasta cooking skills! If you are around San Gimignano, we highly recommend to book this class!!!

Great Food, Authentic Experience!

My wife and I went to take this class while traveling through Tuscany on our Honeymoon. The drive up to the farmhouse was beautiful and the class was everything we hoped it would be and more. Katia was amazing and her uncle Fulvio was very welcoming too. She taught us about various aspects of Tuscan cooking and took her time to walk us through all of the steps when making the dishes. Katia made sure we were doing everything correctly to ensure that our meal was great in the end. The food turned out delicious and the wine paired with each course was fantastic. We both left very full and extremely satisfied with our time spent with Katia. I would recommend this tour to anyone traveling through Tuscany looking for an authentic cooking class experience! I will be back there again for sure!

13th Century Farmhouse Cooking Class with Truffles Hit all the Marks
Annabelle_V
, Sep 2021
This was one of those experiences you hope for, but usually don't get when booking a "unique experience". The 13th century farmhouse/priest's residence outside of San Gimignano with its idyllic sunset, olive trees, herb gardens,...were post card perfect. Katia was incredible hostess. She found the right balance between teaching us and allowing us to show her what we already know of food. We really did learn a lot about pasta: what sauces go with which pasta, what pasta to make vs. buy, how to not burn onion and garlic etc etc.
We are still full 24 hours after this experience having prepared and eaten:
Bruschetta, Panzanella, local cheeses with accompaniments, egg tagliatelle with copious amounts of truffle, hand rolled spaghetti with pancetta tomato sauce, chicken saltimbocca and summer tiramisu with peaches. All paired with wines and very easy conversation.
We were there for over 4 hours and if we didn't need to drive back to Florence, I'm sure it would have been several longer.
We would both do this experience again with others and highly recommend this experience.
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
