Departure Time

8:00 AM
Begin with hotel pickup in Gozo or north Malta. Unless you are in a group of three or more, south Malta hotel pickups are not provided, and you will need to travel independently to the Gozo ferry departure point.

Then, meet at the Gozo quad base, listen to a safety briefing, and hop on your own quad bike as a driver or passenger (depending on option selected).

Next, set off behind your guide into Gozo’s rugged countryside. Follow dusty trails and stop for photos at beauty spots including the Qala Belvedere, Calypso Cave, and more. Ride through the picturesque Simar and Ramla valleys, Victoria, and Marsalforn Bay, and pause at Gozo’s coastal salt pans, Inland Sea, Fungus Rock, Quarries, Ta' Pinu, Kercem Heights, Xlendi, and other scenic spots.

Along the way, stop for food-tasting and shopping, and savor a 3-course lunch, including soup or pasta, fish, chicken, or pork, and dessert, all with soda, water, juice, or tea or coffee.

Afterward, enjoy a return 4x4 transfer to your Gozo hotel or, if your hotel is in Malta, a 20-minute return powerboat ride via the sea caves at Comino. Your tour then finishes with a drop-off at the original starting point.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Dwejra Bay
Dwejra, with its dramatic coastal formations and sea spilling over the rocks, is a magical attraction. Here you can swim in the spectacular deep sea of the bay, in the calm shallows of the inland sea or in the foamy waters around the Blue Hole – one of Gozo’s top dive-sites. Dwejra is also home of the Fungus Rock or, as it is locally known, “Il-Ġebla tal-Ġeneral”, General’s Rock. It is so called in remembrance of the Italian General who centuries ago fell to his death while supervising quarrying in the area. History tells us that a special plant believed to have medicinal and healing properties used to grow on Fungus Rock and because of this the Rock used to be heavily guarded during the era of the Knights of Malta. Anyone caught stealing the crop was sentenced to death or to a life rowing the Knights’ galleys. The crop was picked and brought to the mainland using a primitive system of baskets and pulleys.

Xwejni Salt Pans
On the north coast of Gozo, just past Qbajjar Bay west of Marsalforn, the coast is characterised by a chequerboard of rock-cut saltpans protruding into the sea. These 350-year-old salt pans, which stretch about 3km along the coast, are more than just scenic. They are part of the centuries-old Gozitan tradition of Sea-Salt production that has been passed down within certain families for many generations. During the summer months, locals can still be seen scraping up the crystals of salt. Once collected, the salt is stored and processed in the caves that have been carved into the coastal rock.

Stop At:
Ramla Bay
This is Gozo’s, and arguably Malta’s, best beach. A wide stretch of red sand, it is often referred to locally as “Ramla il-Ħamra” – the Red Sandy Beach! Ramla is a wonderful place to swim, snorkel and chill out in the sun. The area around the beach is wonderfully undeveloped, although there are a couple of cafes and a stall set back from the beach. The sand dunes are protected and the valley leading down to the bay is green and fertile. The terraced walls built by the farmers give the valley an appearance of a quilt when viewed from surrounding high ground. There is myth and history here too. Roman remains lie beneath the sands and Ramla Bay is reached from ix-Xagħra, on one of the hills overlooking the valley, or from the village of in-Nadur.

Stop At:
Marsalforn
Marsalforn is one of the most popular resort on the Island. In summer it throbs with life as hundreds of Gozitan and Maltese families move in to spend the summer at the coast and foreign visitors arrive for a revitalising dose of sun and sea. A beach of sand and small pebbles is backed by a promenade which runs right round the head of the bay, providing a pleasant place to stroll at all times of year and a traditional summer evening gathering place for local families and visitors alike.

Ghasri
Ghasri Valley, or Wied il-Ghasri is a breathtaking, narrow creek that seems right out of a postcard. Ghasri Valley’s narrow cove is approximately 300 metres long with a winding inlet and rugged, impressive high cliffs on both sides and about 100 steps down.
Stop At:
Inland Sea
The Inland Sea, sometimes called Qawra in Maltese and also known as Dwejra, is a lagoon of seawater on the island of Gozo linked to the Mediterranean Sea through an opening formed by a narrow natural arch. It was probably formed where a geological fault in the limestone had created a sea cave and the roof then collapsed.

Xlendi Beach, Cliff and Caves
Ix-Xlendi Bay is a popular swimming, snorkelling and diving spot. There is a small sandy beach leading into shallow waters perfect for young and old, while for the more adventurous it is deslightful to swim and snorkel in deeper water off the long stretch of rocks bordering the beach. Because of its reef formations, ix-Xlendi is an ideal diving site, even for beginners. This is also a typical Gozitan fishing village and well-served with good restaurants, bars and hotels.

The scenery was amazing! Outstanding beautifull locations. Was the first time driving left on the road but the traffic in the city is minimal.

The tour was very well organised. Transfers to and back hotel was organised well. The lunch we were given was very good and tasted delicious. The tour guide we had was very good, he was calm, knew what he was doing and friendly, he made the effort to get to know us. You stop at some beautiful sights, and have plenty of time to explore each one. I would only give it a 4, because we went as a couple and wanted to drive a quad each. However, on the day one quad had broken down and therefore we had to share. However, they were very professional and gave us the refund straight away.

Good value if you want to spend a full day actually on a quad bike

Full day excursion - 5 full hours actually driving on a quad, zig zagging across the island1 on the main Gozo roads (not dusty tracks) up and down Gozo with brief stop offs at 1 beach where given 30 mins stop, 20 mins at gift shop that turn out to be right next door to craft Village that you do not find out about until you are driving off, and 40 mins at the inland sea-( you must do the 4 euro boat ride from here - worth every cent) the rest of the time we stayed on the quads with just 1 min stops to take a quick photo. lunch was very poor quality food with 1 jug of water on table, a self serve jug of instant coffee, and no juice or soft drinks included. Definatly need to take your own snacks and drinks with you on this day out. The quad my husband was riding had bold back tyres that sent him sliding down hill when we had rain, had I been on his quad I would have come off or ended up crashing - so just check your quad is road fit prior to getting on for your own safety.

It was OK

Riding around was reasonably fun, although we never got to drive that fast. Some of the places we stopped were a bit boring. Maybe it would be good for half a day.

Great day

Good experience, so many beautiful sights to see, I wish there were some more photo stops though as it was hard trying to take them whilst holding on. Lunch wasn't the best but we didn't do the tour for that reason. Would recommend

Amazing Experience

Amazing experience. The quad bikes were really good, the tour guide Brahim was super helpful and included within the package were transport both ways and lunch. some of the sights that you taken to on the quad bikes are breathtaking. A memorable experience. The only reason for the 4 stars rather than the 5 was that I found it a little tiring by the end because it is an entire day in a hot climate but on the whole it was enjoyable and a memorable experience.
